Classification of aluminium bars
According to the different metal elements contained in the aluminum bar, the aluminum bar can be divided into 8 categories, that is, 9 series:
1、 1000 series aluminum bars represent 1050, 1060 and 1100 series. Among all series, 1000 series is the one with the most aluminum content. The purity can be over 99.00%. Because it does not contain other technical elements, the production process is relatively simple and the price is relatively cheap, which is the most commonly used series in the current conventional industry. Most of the 1050 and 1060 series are in circulation on the market. The minimum aluminum content of the 1000 series aluminum bar is determined according to the last two Arabic numbers. For example, the last two Arabic numbers of the 1050 series are 50. According to the international brand naming principle, the aluminum content must reach 99.5% and above is qualified product. In China's aluminum alloy technical standard (GB / t3880-2006), the aluminum content of 1050 is 99.5%. In the same way, the aluminum content of 1060 series aluminum bars must be more than 99.6%.
2、 2000 series aluminum bars represent 2A16 (Ly16) and 2A02 (LY6). The 2000 series aluminum bar is characterized by high hardness, of which the copper element content is the highest, about 3-5%. 2000 series aluminum bar belongs to aviation aluminum material, which is not often used in conventional industry.
2024 is a typical duralumin alloy in the aluminum copper magnesium system. It is a heat treatable alloy with high strength, easy processing, easy turning and general corrosion resistance.
After heat treatment (T3, T4, t351), the mechanical properties of 2024 aluminum bar are significantly improved. The T3 state parameters are as follows: tensile strength 470mpa, 0.2% yield strength 325mpa, elongation: 10%, fatigue strength 105Mpa, hardness 120hb.
Main uses of 2024 aluminum bar: aircraft structure, rivet, truck hub, propeller assembly and other structural parts
3、 The 3000 series aluminum bars mainly represent 3003 and 3A21. The production process of 3000 series aluminum bars in China is excellent. The 3000 series aluminum bar is mainly composed of manganese. The content is between 1.0-1.5, which is a series with better antirust function.
4、 The 4000 series aluminum bar represents the 4a01 4000 series aluminum bar, which belongs to the series with high silicon content. Generally, the silicon content is between 4.5-6.0%. It belongs to building materials, mechanical parts, forging materials and welding materials. It has low melting point and good corrosion resistance. 5、 5000 series aluminum bars represent 5052, 5005, 5083 and 5A05 series. 5000 series aluminum bar belongs to the commonly used alloy aluminum bar series, the main element is magnesium, and the magnesium content is between 3-5%. Also known as aluminum magnesium alloy. The main characteristics are low density, high tensile strength and high elongation. Under the same area, the weight of Al Mg alloy is lower than that of other series, and it is widely used in conventional industry. In China, 5000 series aluminum bars belong to one of the more mature series.
6、 6000 series aluminum bars represent 6061 and 6063, which mainly contain two elements of magnesium and silicon. Therefore, 6061 is a cold-treated aluminum forging product with the advantages of 4000 series and 5000 series. It is suitable for applications with high requirements of corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance. Good usability, easy coating, good processability.
7、 7000 series aluminum bars represent 7075 mainly containing zinc. It also belongs to Aviation series. It is aluminum magnesium zinc copper alloy. It is heat treatable alloy. It belongs to super hard aluminum alloy. It has good wear resistance. It basically depends on imports. The production process in China needs to be improved.
8、 8011 is the most commonly used aluminum bar of 8000 Series, which belongs to other series. Most of the applications are aluminum foil, which is not commonly used in the production of aluminum bar.
